Fraud Risk Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Fraud Risk Manager to oversee fraud risk operations and manage a team of fraud analysts. The role involves investigating fraud cases, analyzing transaction data, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and recommending improvements to reduce fraud risks. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the fraud domain, a proven track record in fraud analytics, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Key Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in the fraud risk domain, preferably in a banking environment.
• Proven experience in building and deploying fraud analytics solutions that impact financial outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with fraud detection tools (e.g., Feedzai) and knowledge of UAE compliance standards (e.g., AML, KYC).

Technical Skills & Responsibilities:

• Fraud Risk Management: Oversee daily fraud risk operations, investigate flagged cases, and manage customer queries related to transactions and chargebacks.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of fraud analysts, supporting decisions on account blacklisting/whitelisting based on review outcomes.
• Transaction Analysis: Monitor and analyze transaction data for unusual patterns and potential fraud.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure investigations comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain thorough documentation.
• Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to reduce fraud risks, enhance customer trust, and improve fraud detection processes.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with multiple departments (customer support, risk, operations, product, and technology) to refine fraud detection processes and reduce false positives.
• Reporting: Create performance dashboards, analyze trends, and generate reports for senior management.
